FP #189: How to Remove the Block so You Can Rock! – Jill Fischer with James Rick

• It’s like meditating with a purpose
• It’s like waking up or falling asleep
• It’s like daydreaming
• It’s like being in a light hypnotic state where, afterwards, you don’t remember what happened
HOW A HYPNOTHERAPIST INDUCES A HYPNOTIC STATE
1. S/he uses specific techniques that allow a person to relax
2. S/he engages the person in a conversation or storytelling that supports whatever the person’s goals are
- Depending on whether the subject is a thinking or a feeling person, “thinking” or “feeling” words will be used in the story or conversation
HOW HYPNOTHERAPY HELPS
• It diffuses any negative emotions that could have happened in the past
• It gets rid of negative blocks that prevent us from doing something beneficial to us
- The storytelling technique connects us to the root cause of our negative beliefs about ourselves by bringing it to the surface and recognizing it as the blocking agent
… It is the experiences and stories in our childhood that have created these beliefs and serve as a block.
… They are carried in our subconscious and become dominant until our adult life
CAN YOU DO SELF-HYPNOSIS ON YOUR OWN? – YES, YOU CAN!
A. You can use a process involving colors to dissolve or stop negative emotions instantly and heal yourself
B. You can access your feelings by free-flow journaling
- Your mind chatter will slow down because your mind knows it’s written down
… Do this especially when you’re just falling asleep or just waking up
… Have a journal handy and jot down whatever thoughts come up – no editing whatsoever, just let out whatever is there
… Use a ballpoint blue ink pen
C. Stimulate the front part of your brain which counters the negative self-talk of the back part
- You can do this with learning, anything creative, yoga, meditation, taking walks in nature, playing with pets
- This part of the brain is most stimulated with the color blue
FINAL THOUGHTS
• Your life will rock if you can completely eliminate the block!
• Six sessions of hypnotherapy is equivalent to 300 hours of psychotherapy
- In hypnotherapy, it’s the subconscious mind that is accessed, not the conscious mind
- In psychotherapy, you’re able to consciously access what you’ve forgotten about but it’s still there in your subconscious
