Randy Komisar venture capitalist and author of The Monk and the Riddle talks about how to do what you love and enjoy life now.
Key point:
1) Create a portfolio of passion and choose among them.
~~
On a side note:
In his book he also talks about business risk versus personal risk. Two very different types of risk. Business risk is based on bottom line financial gain and personal risk (for choosing to follow your passion) is choosing a life that will yield a higher overall experience in the journey through life.
Avoid the Deferred Life Plan - that is doing what you feel you have to do in order to get to do what you want to do. In the Deferred Life Plan you hope to buy back time that was lost - but if you cannot buy back time shouldn't you enjoy it now?
